MLK Vs Malcom X

Both of their methods had an effect on the civil rights movement, while MLK preferred Civil disobedience to violence, which I felt had a better impact and a better image the Malcolm X 's, methods. This has been stated that he would do what ever was necessary to achieve his goals, which would  sometimes involve violence to me his method. If incorrectly used could have sparked U.S military action and/or retaliation's and could mean the death of many people of both races.  While MLK's was simple nonviolent protest that would not demand action be taken if for ex Mlk's quote" if somebody punches you hug them back" compared to Malcolm X's quote" if they lay a hand on you kill them". The objects were similar but not the methods.

a society divided

Is it impossible to achieve the American dream for people of all races?, I believe it is possible however unlikely based on the film a class divided, since the children that were negatively effected for the time period of the test had put them selves down, they simply lost confidence in themselves it seemed, and being deemed inferior to the other test group. They were subject to scrutiny and insults, the children allowed this group to control them,  even though they were not bound by the superior group..

return of racisim

After reading the article about the school in Louisiana this truly shocked me that people still show signs of inner hatred for one another, simply based on the color of their skin. Even worse of the government in Louisiana  still holds onto decisions based on color which I thought was supposed to be purged from the judicial system decades ago. The similarities to the little rock incident decades before, both gathered national attention like when the the president Isenhour during the time of the little rock incident sent about 1,000 soldiers to protect the black students  attempting to enter the school, and this time through the Governmet system. Each of these events had a significant impact of an entire community rising up and protesting the treatment of people based on color..

Media and Society

Media influences does in fact influence a large amount teenagers, from simple advertisements, promoting new trends in society, and spurring action, even revolt, take for example a recent event say the H1N1, a lot of the people even in this school, I knew were afraid because of the reports and claims of a new epidemic sweeping across north America, the swine flu projected from the  numerous media companies ,  even the events of the hippie era were spurred by  the media industry influencing  the youth of the 70’s into the Hippie movement, and the thought of peace and love which was rampant during the era
Checkout this article on impart of TV on Society

50's sexism

shows and advertisement from the 50's showing a woman ridding a tractor attempting to sell the tractor, and displays a few instances of sexism, Now with the inclusion of the text "Look what happened to the old grey mare" which  represents an old woman and the display of the tractor seems to be some sort of improvement by buying tractor. the fact that driving a tractor was meant for men of that time period, and honestly I cannot say I know any woman getting on tractors and apparently enjoying it.

Holocaust

Was truly horrific, when the man was told that he would not see his mother again for roughly a week. even the thought of this makes my feel pain and great sadness. when he is told that he will see her again but only for twenty minutes, was like to me the saddest thing i've heared and especially after he was told to leave and would never see his mother again would kill me from the inside if I were in his position. in the second video the reality of false hope believing in some one to help you and your nation rise again to turn on you and instead kill you and degrade you, was Trula appalling to me.

Airborne division

the Item I choose from Ebay was an old world war 2 helmet from the U.S airborne divisions possibly from the 101st airborne division or easy company. it is a modified version of the standard infantry helmet it includes camoflauge instead of the standard olive Drab. in the course of the war these helmets would be used in airborne operations and head protection from ballistices. these helmets were used in all known airdrops. during an operation Paratroopers were deployed in mass and droped from C-47 sky train's. the helmets provided protection from falling debris such as flack shrapnal from the small plumes of little black clouds allowing the paratroopers to land safely and contine on to their objectives.

leave no history behind

Dear Principle

It has come to my attention that in many high schools some of the history that is presented to the students is considered forbidden or very controversial. Such being topics like nanking massacre, or in relation to the U.S the Bataan Death March after the surrender of U.S forces located in the Philippines. Even Russia's  genocide and the massacres that spanned the century. whether you  wish to deny that these events and others like it occurred  or accept it is to your discretion, you should not forbid this information from high school students  because truth be told these things did happen and there should be no denying it. We as students are at the age of which we can understand  the event and why it happened, if these events are simply forgotten or denied.  then how can we prevent them from happening again? because isn't that why we study  history to learn from the mistakes of our ancestors and try to prevent this from happening again. If the goal is simply to deny the teaching of this information then I can almost guarantee that these events will be replicated and maybe on  a far worse scale than previously .

holocaust prevention?

in reality I believe that we should get involved in the prevention of genocide or the intervene it since it is a violation of basic human rights. In addition allowing certain nations independence such as Sudan which with the current government would not allow. In addition we the U.S Support the UN united nations which are the people that deal in this type of thing, so we need to promote the UN to do this . Sadly I also believe that an individual country cannot help them even if the people  wanted to, because of the lack  businesses interest in the area's  which was one of the causes for the U.S being located in Afghanistan, which we thought was to protect the people there but it was in reality only for the resources. In these areas the companies that supported the government have no interest and little money to be made  in these areas, therefore I believe they will not provide support, in the end it comes down to one thing greed.

Cinderella Man

Starts of with Bull dog Braddock on his way to become the heavy weight champion of the world

Is then works at the docks to support the family

Where he met on of his friends \

With the work there his left arm strengthens

At some point his wife had sent away  their children so they may be able to survive

Received much of their food from the Bread lines

In response James starts seeking money to get them back

Ends up at the last place many people would believe his old employer

Sacco & Vanzetti

In the trial of Sacco and Vanzetti I determined that even before their trial they are guilty by the name of Sacco looks like the most promising culprit due to his “interesting history of being the anarchist going to defend an Italian murderer in trial.  before his beginning of getting involved with one of the anarchist groups  this one known as the Circolo di Studi Sociali which  he joined in 1913 and even helped fund some of their anarchist activities and had written several "interesting" articles in the cults paper. Which I believe this is key point that he was willing openly oppress the government of the United States. shortly after several of them including Vanzetti made haste towards Mexico to escape the draft or conscription of World War 1

In Venisetti’s case they were similar to Sacco’s he to had shown discontent with his life especially after the loss of his mother to which he may have caused him to turn  to reading several anarchist newspapers supported by Sacco. Then moved to Plymouth in 1913 for similar reason as Sacco then continued then we believes that he had continued his anarchist activates with the other participants in the group. Shortly after his arrival in Plymouth he along with the others moved onto Mexico to also escape the draft. Were he took up many old professions but at the same time continued to support the anarchist group. For some unknown strange reason when he returned to the United States in 1917 had registered to become a U.S citizen. In my own opinion it seems as though he may be the most innocent of the duo since he wants citizenship in the U.S. but unfortunately form the data gathered, he held on to an old quote from early on “The blood of martyrs is the seed of liberty”. Which lead’s many us of us to believe that he thinks liberty is an abomination and suggests that he wishes to change the government especially when engaging with the anarchist group.

From eyewitness accounts it seems that several people had seen the crime they had committed, at first there were identifications but the participants that thought that Sacco was one of the bandits but failed to confirm it. This changed in the trail after several of the witness had in trail confirmed Sacco as a culprit a very strange twist which might have been the result of some form of persuasion form some unknown source to have executed.
At the crime scene the local police had discovered several bullet casings the most interesting was the bullet number 3 which several experts claimed was from Sacco’s colt auto weapon which matched the rifling in Sacco’s weapon barrel and being reported him as missing from his day job at the 3-K shoe factory, and was caught several times for lying to police an what stood out the most was the denial of the murder weapon which was clearly his. In the case of Vanzetti there were eyewitnesses to identify him as a syndicate to the crime. For example he was seen in the area of the shooting in a black vehicle suspected criminal transportation. And lying about the origin of his 32. Cal which is claimed to be a .38 cal handgun from which is was obtained from a friend that he would not name or reveal his purpose in
For which I believe that both of these men are to be accused of the crime after both showing a motive and a willing to commit the crime and both being unable to prove their proposed reason

Acrostic poem

Prohibiting the sale of alcohol
Reversing new ideals
Opposing Alcoholism
Heightening the need for Alcohol
In creating Massive
Bootlegging empires
Inciting a new source of alcohol
Treating the law like there is non
Inviting crime
On the  verge of incredible profit
Non reject their services when Boose is forbidden

Roaring Twenties
Opposing old Ideals
And accepting the new
Raving on the new found wealth
Interest rates dwindle
Heightening Profit
Generating an unpayable debt

Time continues  from 1920
With purchasing on the rise with the
Evolution of credit and installment plans
Never suspecting that
Time was not on their side
Inevitably this this prosperity was limited
Evolving from celebration to
Suuffering and poverty

Science and religion

I believe that we should be allowed to study both because the original creationism was that the lord had created the universe. On the other hand evolutionism had much more evidence leaning in its direction like change over time and creatures evolving from others. But in the end something had to create the particles that made up the living being that evolutionism came from so I am really in the middle. The only problem I have with creationism is the fact that I can not be physically proved only stories and revelations. while evolutionism seems more likely since it can be seen in everyday life if you observe  closely.

Which also resulted in huge discrimination towards foreigners accusing them of being commies or anarchists take Sacco and venssti for example?
Labor Issues (1920s)
Majority of people were spending and there inevitably there was less effort into paying off debts and people living off credit

public enemies

during the course of the presentations of the various gangsters I was astonished how interconnected the gangsters were even cooperating with each other when commiting their crimes. how they affected the U.S when their actions sprung up by the prohibition would form the federal burea of intelligence. After my groups presentations it was interesting to understand that they openly were more powerful than the law and in the earlier days the police dept lacked the firepower of the gangsters posessed such as full auto weapons. which gave the gangsters a great advantage over the police who were armed with the only handguns and a few shotguns.
